ACF Fiorentina, commonly known as Fiorentina, is an Italian professional football club based in Florence, Tuscany, originally founded in 1926 through a merger and refounded in 2002 after bankruptcy. The club has spent most of its history in Serie A, winning two league titles, and is one of Italy's traditionally prominent sides with a notable European pedigree. Fiorentina play their home matches at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and are recognisable by their purple (viola) colours.
