Elche CF is a Spanish football club founded in 1923 and based in Elche, in the province of Alicante, where it plays at the Estadio Martínez Valero. The club has spent several seasons in La Liga without winning a major national title; its honours are highlighted by two Segunda División championships, and its best cup run came as runners-up in the 1969 Copa del Rey.
