Hamburger SV

Hamburger SV (HSV) is a German football club based in Hamburg, tracing its origins to 1887 and formed in its modern shape through a 1919 merger. It was long famed as the only club to have played continuously in the Bundesliga from the league's 1963 foundation until its relegation in 2018. HSV's honours include six German championships and its greatest era in the late 1970s and early 1980s, when it won the 1983 European Cup and the 1977 European Cup Winners' Cup.
