Founded in 1943, FC Nantes is a French club based in the city of Nantes, playing at the Stade de la Beaujoire since 1984. Nicknamed 'Les Canaris' for their yellow-and-green colours, they are one of France's most successful clubs, with eight Ligue 1 titles and four Coupe de France triumphs. Celebrated for their attacking 'jeu à la nantaise' philosophy and a prolific youth academy, Nantes reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in 1996.
