SSC Napoli is an Italian professional football club based in Naples, founded in 1926. Long an underdog, the club rose to prominence after signing Diego Maradona in 1984, winning its first two Serie A titles and the UEFA Cup in the late 1980s. Refounded by Aurelio De Laurentiis following a 2004 bankruptcy, Napoli returned to the elite of Italian football, adding Serie A titles in 2023 and 2025.
