Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, founded in 1882, is based in Tottenham, north London, and plays at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. In 1960–61 Spurs became the first club in the 20th century to win the League and FA Cup Double, and in 1963 the first British club to win a European trophy. The club has won two English league titles, eight FA Cups and several European trophies.
