Lille OSC (LOSC) was founded in 1944 through the merger of Olympique Lillois and SC Fives, and is based in the northern French city of Lille, where it plays at the 50,000-capacity Stade Pierre-Mauroy. The club won its first Division 1 title and Coupe de France in its debut post-war seasons and enjoyed a modern revival with Ligue 1 titles in 2010-11 (a league-and-cup double) and 2020-21, the latter followed by the 2021 Trophée des Champions.
